Kellermusik Records was founded in 2001 by René Klimaczewski (Klima) and André Krause (Qiu). The label name was chosen quite spontaneously because the two lived together in a basement apartment. It cannot be ruled out that the name was also instrumental in the label’s success. Qiu accompanied the label work for several years, but at some point he withdrew, so that Klima continued to design it alone. Many well-known artists have made several releases over the years. For example Daniel Myer (Architect, Haujobb), Converter, RDR, Klangbild or Heimstatt Yipotash. An essential aspect of Kellermusik Records is that all music on the label is not based on current hype.
